Some surprisingly conservative turn
(even for Canada)
on the part of legislators up north
has placed the town of
Taber, Alberta, Canada
on the map, all of a sudden...
And that has subsequently led the kids there
to call upon good ol' Kevin Bacon -of all people-
to save their... ah... bacon?
As if Kev was some sort of Obi-Wan of profanity...!
The situation in Taber mirrors quite strangely
the retrograde climate that made up the entire scenario
of that unlikely sleeper hit flick, Footloose, it is true...
But to imagine that an over-the-hill actor
can help in any way...
Is it a worthy cause, anyway?
''Defend the right to swear in public'' - eh?
No - it is not necessary!
For it is not a question of free speech at all:
more like a question of decency!
It should be obvious to all media
wasting time reporting this trivial bit of news
(as it is to me who is blogging about it!)
And not Bacon nor all the twists and turns
